Summary of Role: 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy arts venue, providing high levels of customer service and offering our visitors a 5* experience. This role primarily involves supporting the daily operations of one of our refreshment kiosks and selling ice cream, drinks and snacks.

A range of shift patterns are available and interested candidates must be available throughout the season (April – September) when we’re open 7 days per week. The role will be on a contract basis for an hourly rate.

Contract Type: 

WORKING HOURS: 11.00 – 4.00pm, varied contracts available (5 – 25 hours) Days & contracts to be agreed.

SALARY: £12.21 per hour

Key Responsibilities, Tasks, Duties:

• Provide excellent and proactive customer service
• Develop an understanding of the permanent collection, gallery exhibitions and all aspects of Jupiter Artland in order to enhance visitor experience
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, being aware of disability and access requirements and assisting the public in emergency evacuation situations.
• Process kiosk sales, handle payments and cash sales
• Upsell and cross-sell products to drive revenue
• Ensure the kiosk is always presentable, replenished, accurately priced and well merchandised

General:

• Customer service experience preferably from a hospitality/barista background or other customer service roles
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Interest in, and knowledge of, contemporary visual arts
• Awareness of access issues and disability awareness
• Awareness of Health & Safety issues
