Free Learning Visits at Jupiter Artland

Learning at the heart of Jupiter

FREE Learning visits to the end of June 2024 are now FULLY BOOKED, however we are busy allocating applications for FREE learning visits in our Autumn Term (September to November) 2024. We still have free spaces, so grab them while you can!

Autumn term visits are a great way of kick starting the academic year! Please click on and complete the Application Form below. Once submitted we will process and contact successful learning groups in May/June with confirmation of visit dates.

Available every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the academic year this program offers FREE learning visits to any nurseries, schools, colleges, universities and community groups based anywhere within Scotland.

Inspired by the diverse range of contemporary artworks and the rich Jupiter Artland landscape, our FREE Learning Program is animated by the curiosity, play, and innovation found within the creative process. Learning at Jupiter focuses not on the destination but the learning journey, the act of making, creating and how learning unfolds and relates to the learner. We create opportunities for innovative thinking that gives agency to the learners’ voice and shapes a space for our future critical thinkers. Through guided tours and practical hands-on workshops, our trained learning team will plan and deliver a structured learning visit tailored to the needs of your learners.

Our half-day tours/workshops generally run from 10am – 12:30pm and full-day tours/workshops generally run from 10am – 2:30pm.

If you require any more information or have any questions please contact engagement@jupiterartland.org.

“I felt like you made a tremendous effort to think about how all the Jupiter learning experiences applied to both the student’s own learning as well as how they could put this knowledge into practice while working with young people . Your positive outlook and enthusiasm for all aspects of the outdoors really shone through your workshops and I really appreciated spending quality time in Jupiter and seeing the students engaging and enjoying the learning experience. ”

Kirstin Shemilt, Lecturer

“Just to say a huge thank you for yesterday. The day was so rich in everything that I am trying to deliver in the classroom, but brought to life so beautifully by the landscape and environment of Jupiter and your eloquent guide throughout the day. The students and staff all thought you were amazing and really enjoyed the fact that you encouraged them to think, to react, rather than telling them how to think. I think quite a few had some pivotal emotional moments. They also got the chance to blend and socialise as a group, something they have been starved of over the past two years.”

Frances Barclay, Tutor

“Jupiter Artland is a beautiful place and outdoor learning allows a multi-sensory and experiential approach, encouraging young people to become involved in emotional, physical, aesthetic, spiritual and cognitive experiences as part of their learning. We’re looking forward to seeing how they bring this experience back to their design work on campus.”

Kirsteen Wright, Tutor

“Our trip to Jupiter Artland was nothing short of a thoroughly invigorating and thought-provoking voyage through the minds of some of the world’s most unique artists. Being amongst such a picturesque locale is outstanding enough, let alone when such lovely rural surrounds are punctuated by such stimulating, inspiring and wondrous artwork.”

Kenneth Russell, Student
